Gold, Green and Teal Eye Makeup look + Picture Tutorial

Trying to hang on to summer with this look. Makes me think of mermaids. :-)
While I love fall, I really dislike the winter time and being cold. I'm looking forward to the Holidays though.

This look was created using TKB Trading micas. These are just basic micas with no fillers or bases. I know a lot of gals say they can't get these to stick/blend, but if you use the right primer, they work just fine (for me anyway).

Start by applying your favourite eye primer. I used Coastal Scents Shadow Worx Eye Primer. Then apply a very sticky base (Sobe's Stick It!, Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy or Darling Girls Cosmetics Glitter Glue all work great).

The first shadow I used here is my own mix of Coral Reef Blue and Blackstar Green. I applied it in a circular motion with a soft blending brush to the outer crease/lid.

Apply Ocean Green to the lid and crease by patting and sweeping outward.

Apply Mermaid's Gold (this is a gorgeous gold with green irridescent sheen) to the upper inner V by patting and sweeping outward.

Apply Sparkle Gold to the inner corner by patting.

Apply Mermaid's gold to the lower inner lash line.

Apply Pisces Blue to the middle lower lash line by patting and sweeping inward.

Apply the Coral Reef Blue/Blackstar Green mixture to the outer lower lash line to connect the gap.

Blend out the harsh edges by using NYX Nude under the brow and blending downward in a zig zag motion. For the lower lash line, use a skin tone eyeshadow or a powder foundation and blend out any harshness.

Apply black liquid liner and wing outward. I used Kryolan Aqua Color liner in black (you mix it with water to get your preferred consistency which is why I love it).

Apply Urban Decay's 24/7 liner in Honey to the lower waterline.

Apply Red Cherry Lashes #43 and black mascara to the lower lashes.

For the rest of what is on my face:

Eyebrows: Sobe Botanicals Fill Me In eyebrow powder Raven and Brunette mix (applied with MAC 266)

Lips: Morgana Cryptoria Lip Balm - Goldspun

Face:
Skin MD Shielding lotion
e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation - Porcelain (applied with finger tips)
Sobe Tinted Illusionist Powder (applied all over face with a large powder brush)
Physicians Formula Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls - Light Bronze Pearl (applied under the cheek bones to contour)
Aromaleigh Blush - Rococo (applied to cheek bones and blending back toward the hair line)
Physicians Formula Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls - Translucent Pearl (applied just above the cheek bones to highlight)

  1. Love it! Great combination of colours, strangely very wearable! I can't believe that's a lip balm as well, so pigmented! Ali x
